So what is it and why is it used?QR_code

Quick Response codes (QR codes) are similar to barcodes used by retailers to track and price products.Invented in Japan, they are just starting to make an appearance on our shores.

The QR code contains information unique to the company, brand or product it is featured on. Scan the QR code with your iphone or other android device and you will be directed to a website, receive installation instructions, directions to a certain location or a variety of other relevant information.

Some examples of where QR Codes are or could be used are:

  • On your business card.
  • Your brochures and other marketing materials.
  • The sides of trucks and trailers.
  • Product tags and packaging
  • Convention and event nametags
  • Restaurant menus
  • Event ticket stubs
  • Point-of-sale receipts

QR Codes provide people with a unique opportunity to interact with technology in order to get the information they need.
