PrintNZ and the ‘Print: Part of Life’ campaign
During 2009, PrintNZ conducted a research study to understand how both buyers and consumers perceive print. The results underlined the fact that consumers like print, especially sitting down to relax with a book, magazine or newspaper. They also enjoy the portability, tangibility and quality of print.
The research also highlighted the fact that there are many misconceptions about print such as the image of trees being felled to create printed items.
Both print and electronic media were seen as having positives and negatives, with an overall consensus that the two can be complementary.
As a result of those findings the ‘Print: Part of Life’ campaign was initiated. The aim of this project is to present people with the facts about print and the print industry so they can form their own opinions.
